With the holy month of Ramadan, our daily routine has experienced changes that have not been made for at least a year. These changes need to be accurate and may be a little uncomfortable. Our bodies are very easy to adapt and always look for homeostasis for normal functions. However, the acclimatization process can take days or weeks, depending on the individual.
With this blog, we try to overcome some of the general health problems faced in Ramadan. The list is as follows.
1. Headache
Headaches are caused by various reasons, some of which can be low in blood sugar levels, low water content, sleep or insufficient stress – regardless of the cold, flu or sinus. Ramadan coupled with quarantine does have an effect on our sleep schedule.
How to get rid of headaches?
What helps: Make sure you sleep enough, at least 7-8 hours every day. Be sure to eat healthy food and drink enough water from Iftar to Suhoor. However, if headaches last for hours, increasing severity or turns into migraines, please seek professional medical assistance.
2. Digestive and heartburn disorders
Other common events. Symptoms of digestive disorders may include unusual stomach sounds, stomach pain or only travel to the bathroom. All of this is usually due to overeating or eating lots of oily, spicy or fatty foods.
How to cure digestive disorders quickly?
What helps: A balanced diet must help and avoid these foods in large quantities, especially when broken quickly. Turn your food so that the digestive system is not burdened. Laban and Yogurt are effective cooling agents that calm the digestive tract. If the pain is severe and frequent, please seek professional medical assistance.
3. Dizzy (Light -headed)
To simplify, this is a feeling of drowsiness and dizziness during the day. That can also happen when suddenly waking up or quickly stands from a stationary position. Possible causes can be narrowed to fluctuate blood pressure, low blood sugar levels, low water content or iron deficiency. If you have a anemia case, the condition may be exacerbated during fasting.
How do you stop feeling dizzy?
What helps: As mentioned before, make sure you sleep enough, at least 7-8 hours every day. Drinking enough water and a healthy diet are effective steps. Including high iron sources such as nuts, green vegetables such as spinach, or red meat can help maintain anemia. Please look for medical assistance if the conditions continue for days or deteriorate over time.
4. Mood change
During Ramadan, our bodies not only experience dehydration but also experience hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). This sometimes can cause feelings of being easily offended, frustrated, and anxiety, which can worsen mood and desires.
How to stop mood changes during fasting?
What helps: The effect of exercise should not be underestimated, the post-training endorphins are responsible for the sensation of ‘on-of the-world’ that is rejuvenated, ‘On-of the World’. Keep yourself hydrated and food will be the last thing in your mind. Sleep enough. You have to rest for about 6-8 hours per night you fast. Get a good quality vegetable broth or bone broth. 5. Fall ill
Consuming cold drinks while breaking fasting or low immunity may be blamed for this one. Fasting throughout the day causes the body to experience small physiological changes, often resulting in an increase in body temperature. Consumption of cold drinks that are suddenly in Iftar often cause cold, coughing and sometimes fever.
What helps: To strengthen immunity, including foods rich in vitamin C in your food. Although this is common, this is also a very precarious time to fall ill and will be strongly advised to complete the examination as soon as possible remembering the current pandemic.
In short, the following 4 aspects will help maintain most health problems outside – Healthy diet, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and balanced mental health.
This might be simple enough to think about but often ignored. All of the above are simple household tips and are not comparable to the expert advice of a certified doctor. Please look for medical assistance in the event of ambiguous symptoms and other complications.
